June “3Way” Update!
Here’s the latest from the 3Way production office in beautiful Burbank, California…
We hope you are all enjoying your summer. Since we last touched base, we have been to New York for the AfterEllen.com meet-and-greet and the NewNowNext awards. It was a blast!
The NewNowNext awards were big gay fun, and we won the audience choice award for “Most Guiltiest Pleasure!” (Watch the video footage here.) Thank you for your support and votes. If you watched the show you saw us (Nancylee and Maeve), and the rest of the 3Way and AE gang, Jill, Maile, Bridget, Paige, Karman and Keener enjoying the night. Some of us a little too much. But that’s another story…
When we got home we had a cool meet and greet with the South of Nowhere cast and some of the AE fans from the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Canada. What a great group – so cool to touch base with girls who are smart and funny and enjoying what we are doing.
We have been invited to Outfest LA for a special event screening on Saturday, July 12th. We screen at 7pm at the Fairfax theatre 1 (400 hundred seats people!) and afterward we are doing a Q&A (talking about creating digital entertainment and the future of new media) which is just an excuse to put us up in front of the room for you hecklers to have your way. After that, your ticket stub will get you into our super cool after party at Eleven at 8811 Santa Monica Blvd. at 9:30PM co-hosted by Fuse-events.
So if you’re going to be in LA on July 12th, buy tickets at outfest.org and join our 3Way!
We recently shot some exclusive footage for the premiere – let’s just say our “LadyCops” are going to be front and center. Keep checking our site and our MySpace page, too, for some photos and a sneak peak teaser.
We will also be celebrating the launch of our DVD which we hope to bring to you in July. And we have been invited to film festivals in Madrid and Chicago in the fall. We’ll keep you posted.
We also met for Pride in LA and the 3Way cast showed up at the Outfest booth at the festival. Look for the photos here, on our our MySpace page, and on the Outfest site (and look for our Outfest/Pride highlight trailer here soon).
There’s another AE meet and greet in San Francisco on Sunday, June 22nd. Most of the 3Way girls are scattered around the country that weekend, but Courtney Rowe (one of our directors ”Friday Nite Dykes” and “The Dinah Monologues”) and Danielle Carroll (one of our DPs and camera operators) will be in that neck of the woods and are rumored to be making an appearance. So all you girls who want to talk about making films and TV go check them out. They’ll be there with Karman and Bridget and other members of the AE gang. July 8, 2008 @ 12:31 pmHey Lynne — We aren’t sure when we will start shooting second season, lots of things still up in the air. We are at Outfest LA this week, Saturday July 12th. We are planning on traveling to some other festivals this summer and fall. We will keep you posted. We also hope to have our DVD available by August. More details as we know them. Or promise it on the DVD… I am an absolute SUCKER for those girls (well, all the girls, if I’m honest) and seriously, you should hear me squee whenever they come on during an episode. Love love love! And you can’t say ‘exclusive footage for the premiere’ means *exclusive footage for the premiere* because I live in Australia so I couldn’t exactly come (if you had it in November, we’d be great!)
