News From a Crime-Fighting Security Guard
A 23-year-old Carson City man, Mr. Killen – described by a prosecutor as having the maturity of a “malicious 14-year-old” – was sentenced Monday to one year in Douglas County Jail.
Killen admitted shooting out windows in Carson City, Stateline and Douglas County with a BB gun or wrist rocket.
He was apprehended after he shot out the window in a van driven by a woman accompanied by her teenage daughter. They were unhurt, and she was able to identify Killen.
Killen called the shooting “a spree of stupidity.” He blamed his behavior on the fact that he returned to Douglas County from Elko and had nothing to do here. He told the judge that he had a 70 percent chance of being accepted by the Air Force.

GERI’S LESSON FOR CIVILIANS: “Nothing to do” doesn’t warrant a crime spree and everyone has a 70 percent chance of something. Hell, I have a 70 percent of getting lucky with Angelina Jolie. If she’s drunk …and wants a very, very good bodyguard.
